Ingredients For Crust

  • 170g brown sugar
  • 115g unsalted butter
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 200g unbleached all-purpose flour
  • 140g rolled oats
  • ½ tsp baking soda

Ingredients For Filling

  • 12-oz can Sweetened condensed milk
  • 340g chocolate chips
  • 55g walnuts, chopped
  • ½ t vanilla

Directions

  • Cream brown sugar and butter for 4 minutes on medium speed.
  • Beat in egg and vanilla
  • Mix flour, oats, and baking soda together and add to creamed mixture.
  • Pat 2/3 of crust mixture firmly into bottom of greased ¼ sheet pan (9×13 pan)
  • Place all filling ingredients in saucepan and stir until chocolate chips are melted.
  • Carefully spread filling over dough.
  • Dot filling with quarter size pieces of remaining oat mixture. You will see the filling.
  • Bake at 350º for 22-25 minutes, just until light brown.Makes ¼ sheet pan (9×13 pan)
